Rail Strike Avoided. So Much for Rail Workers Rights.

Works for those who get paid millions get to afford time off when employees strike. Funny how the highly paid doesn't strike
actually, many contracts have a "no strike" clause...doing so can cause all sorts of bad issues for the union ,and the workers, up to (if i recall my former employer's contract), firing employee's and decertifying the union.

A no strike clause stipulation may as well be a surrender.
When they told (Chicago) teachers they had to return from the yearlong covid hiatus and ipad remote teaching protocol, they all balked saying it was to “dangerous” and threatened walkout/strike. None were fired or disciplined.

Now LE or (FD) can’t go on strike ... who would show up at a picket line to quell the indifferences? .Mayor Pete’s Dept of Dysfunctional Transportation ?

One thing about union dues and percentage going to strike funds....bosses collect both pots from the membership...but if there’s no strike and a contract ratification, the accumulated strike funds go into a sneaky slush PAC and donated back to ...you guessed it, The Party and it ain’t the maga-nificent party.
