Range Antics So Shocking That I Don't Have The Words!

And where was the RO when this happened? I went to a lot of ranges when I lived in Kentucky and every one of them had 1 or 2 RO’s on duty to prevent this type of totally unsafe and dangerous behavior from occurring.
Totally unacceptable.
the place I shoot doesn't have an RO at all. Like, never, well, except for the monthly practical pistol shoot. But regular range hours, nope. It is a member's only club, but no RO

same with my club...private....and each of us ARE the RO's....

it is required when we join, to pay $100 for an 8 hour safety class. that way, no matter the members are doctors, lawyers, nurses, teachers, and yes...even cops, are all on the same page for knowing what to do.

My range is a private club. Usually no ROs. Maybe sometimes on weekends and those are volunteers.
However, they do have cameras watching everything. If you screw up, somebody will be along shortly.
You can call me being over the top on this but I feel strongly that even at private clubs a RO should be present at all times to ensure rules compliance.
Let’s face it even a freak accident would be life altering or deadly.
My opinion.

After watching this video several times , I think it was staged and the guy is using blanks. Still stupid however. The reason I give is because they both are laughing and the guy isn't even worried about where he is aiming his pistol. I think it was done just to create chaos.

i recall an actor that had a gun on the set, that had blanks...he held it to his head and was quoted as saying something like, "you got 1 for me"?

doesn't mention his quote below, but i do believe he was the actor that said it.....

but what i am saying here is, even blanks can be deadly

Jon-Erik Hexum

Death

[edit]
On October 12, 1984, the cast and crew of Cover Up were filming the seventh episode of the series, "Golden Opportunity", on Stage 18 of the 20th Century Fox lot. One of the scenes filmed that day called for Hexum's character to load cartridges into a .44 Magnum handgun, so he was provided with a functional gun and blanks. When the scene did not play as the director wanted it to in the master shot, there was a delay in filming. Hexum became restless and impatient during the delay and began playing around to lighten the mood. He had unloaded all but one blank round, spun it, and—simulating Russian roulette—he put the revolver to his right temple and pulled the trigger.[28]
