Hello friends,
I didn't post any targets last week after my regular practice session. In this post I'll try to compare and contrast last week's targets and this week's targets. There's not a whole lot of difference as I'm still searching for consistency. I have new lenses for my shooting glasses now. That may help next time I'm at the range. I hope.
Last week (2/22) this was my first target, 10 hits with the XD45 Mod2 at 10 yards.
The first target this week (2/28), same pistol, same distance, actually looked a little tighter.
The second magazine out of this pistol is usually much better. Here's last week's #2 target w/XD45.
Just one bad flyer way away from the 4" circle. Below is this week's #2 target.
There's no bad flyers but the group is a little more spread out. I need a little more concentration and patience. Now here's a look at last week's #3 and #4 targets, 10 hits each. I do believe using the 4" circles makes me "aim small, miss small" a bit better. Sorry, the patches make this target look messy, but you get the drift.
This is target #3 from this week. I guess it's a fairly tight group but not quite centered. I thought trying different targets would help me concentrate.
Drat, one bad flyer high. I kinda like this target. I'll print up some more and practice with them. Here are the last 10 rounds from the XD45 last week. I think I'm finally starting to get warmed up. Too bad I brought only one box of .45.
This week I saved 20 rounds for the last target. I guess I didn't aim quite as small for this one. Next time! I promise!
I also shot 100 rounds of 9mm from my XDM Elite Precision, but it's supper time right now. I'll be back in the next post to compare the targets from the last two weeks. Thanks for hanging around.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
