Range Report - New Green Dot

Well it clearly isn’t for everyone, but I firmly believe it would be if people gave them a chance and went about it the right way. I think the biggest turn off for people is the whole “ finding the dot” thing. Which there are several easy solutions for.
I have my Holosun set on the circle only setting. Sometimes the dot only setting makes it hard to spot the dot, sometimes. The circle and dot setting is too much in my opinion. I think it obscures the target too much. I like the circle only setting myself.

Options are great. One thing's for sure, when you first start training with a dot, the donut of death reticle is really helpful until you get your consistency with your draw down pat.

I like the circle dot. I've found that for me the dot is fully visible inside the circle and can be easily used for precision shots and the circle is great for rapid target acquisition. I have this reticle on all my defensive shotguns, where it's usefulness is unmatched IMO.

I prefer a super small dot and I keep it on a really low setting to where the dot is almost faint. Drives @SimonRL nuts. “ Is this thing even on” ?? 🤣🤣🤣
That’s not even close to the top of my Crazy S&?T @KillerFord1977 Does list. 😜🤪😳

The auto brightness feature on the SCS is miles above the other Holosun models by the way.
I’m done with the SCS. It’s just too bright. I might unload the one I just bought for the Walther even though it looks really nice. I prefer the EPS Carry, which has manual and auto brightness settings. The green reticle is a bit spendy though.

@belladonna VP9SK OR slides are out there. https://hkparts.net/pistol-parts/h-k-hk-vp9sk-optics-ready-slide-conversion-kit/

A bit pricey but you can sell you non-optic slide no problem.

You can usually find deals on the HK forum. https://www.hkpro.com/forums/

Great shooting, btw. If you can find one as a rental, try an FN545 it is an amazingly soft shooting .45.

As everyone knows, I’m all in on dots and am rapidly going all green on all of my pistols. I used to like a big window, but Where I train with a green/red dot constantly the dot is always there on presentation and I don’t even see the housing, so window size has by and large become a non-factor.

Keep up the great work and look out for the Golden Ticket from @KillerFord1977 to try out for the North Texas Cool Kids Club. 😎😎😎
