Greetings patriots!
I'm not sure when I'll make it out to the range this week but here is my effort from last week. I must admit, this was a bit of an experiment. I didn't get much sleep the night before so these are the results of a tired old noob. I suppose I have to learn to operate my self defense tools under all kinds of adverse conditions.
I was assigned Lane #10. You know which lane that is, right? It's my favorite.
I left the cowboy gun at home and brought out all the semi-autos, P22CA, CW9, XD9, Garrison .45.
I shat at ten yards (pun intended) for the whole session. Here are five magazines from the XD9.
For target #5 I kept my concentration together long enough to get all the shots in the black. Whew!
Then I shot four magazines from the CW9 at the B27-IMZ target.
Ya know how some guns just rub you the wrong way? Well, this is one of them. Maybe I just need to shoot it more, get to know it enough to love it.
I pasted on some 8" reactive targets for four magazines from the Garrison. Yawn.
That's kinda lousy but at least I feel like I could defend myself even when I'm feeling less than optimal.
I had fun plinking through another four magazines with my little P22 (pea shooter).
I suppose if I had enough ammo on me I could defend myself with this little gun. I hope I don't have to.
OK, that's it, warts and all. Certainly not my best effort but at least I got to practice. All the guns ran great, all the ammo ran great. I'm hoping to get some good rest and make it out to the range later this week to see if my performance can improve over last week. I guess it can't get much worse!
