Range Report: VP9 & Echelon 4.5 Head-To-Head, 3/5/25

Sir, very nice shooting,when you say ones a bit low or left etc,I know 1 thing don't want to be at the pointy end of what's coming down range,keep up the good work

"Combat accuracy" is the name of my game. But when I have time to slow down, I'd really like to have tighter groups. I think I need professional help.

Great report as usual Cliff, and nice shooting. I am more familiar with my VP9 also, so it goes to the range more often than most. I love how my Echelon shoots, but it presses a bone in my hand with my grip and after a couple of magazines it bloody hurts. Something I have to work out. Looks like you did well with yours for its first time out. You'll be tightening those groupings in no time.

I'm still experimenting with the back straps on my Echelon, trying to get the perfect feel. It's a pretty big grip so I think I'll try the "small" backstrap next time, or bring them all and try them back to back. They're easy enough to swap. I'm not sure which frame I have. Do you think a different frame might help the pain in your hand?

I waited forever it seemed for the OD Green COG to come out in small. The only size small or large was in black. My gun is OD. I got really tired of waiting so I bought a small black one. It actually looks pretty cool with an OD upper. I swapped out the side panels and back strap all to small. It still hurts after about 50 rounds. It might be hitting a nerve just right or something. I think it’s just something I will have to learn to live with. I did try shooting it with a glove and it helped a little bit.
