I mostly have the venom, but that doesn't mean the other choices aren't good! I also have sig, trijicon, ct and jp on handguns.

Thanks TfL. It's my understanding that this OSP needs no included or excluded accessories to mount any full size optic, am I right or wrong?? Thanks.

I don't have an osp, so not sure about that? The 2 SA XDMs are not optic ready that I have. They should state what optics are acceptable for mounting? Check your manual it might help? SA site had no info. Some mrds have the same pattern, but can't tell you which ones? I had a list at 1 time for that! Try customer service for help? Better info than I have!

If it’s not strictly a range gun, that is if you intend to carry it, I would not put a Venom on it. Venom is a decent enough site, but you’ll want something with “ Shake Awake” if you’re gonna carry it.

Set me straight please BB, my understanding of "OSP" and "optics ready means after removing slide cover plate the red dot is ready to be torqued down with 2 screws with no adapter plate or any other mounting crap. Am I wrong??

Now too find out which optics will mount?

Since I don’t have the firearm in question I can’t answer that. I know to Walther “ Optic ready” means you can use one of the 3 plates available to fit a variety of optics to. My Q came with 3 plates plus the original plate with the iron sights on it. Now I hear they come with only the original plate and you have to contact them and they will send you one of the 3 available plates free to fit your choice of red dot.

BB, this is what I have learned and that is that to SA "optics ready" is to me "not optics ready." My Hellcat took the Romeo Zero in about 5 minutes with nothing but a sheet of 3M plastic over the slide, I was going in 5 minutes. With the XD-M OSP Elite pistol it's different although they say it's "optics ready." I learned by that they mean send them the SN of your pistol and they will send you free and free shipping the mounting plate you need. It's on www.ospplates.com.
