Red dots for ARs

Sig has some nice inclosed rds's. Forgot the tube type unless it's 30mm or larger. The small thermal is a very short range for recognition. Sig has something similar. For a cqb stay under 2x and yocan use a "2 eye open" and have good eye relief. The uhg, holosun and don't recall the other 1 have decent windows. If you stay with a 1x you could add a magnifier if you need.

I'm a big fan of Eotech and Aimpoint. Haven't used the Vortex Holo, mostly because at that price point I can get an Eotech. Really wish they would get with the times and add a shake awake feature.

Heard too much negative about Trijicon MRO so stayed away from those. Those thermal Holosun optics are definitely intriguing.
Eotech has had it's share of problems too. What has me thinking about the Vortex is it's American made and they have the best warranty in the business. Many report nicer features than the Eotechs too.

Yeah I have several. Holosuns and Sigs. They are Chinese though. I've never had any issues with them and I have abused the hell out of a few for quite a few years.

I mean this to be a 100% serious rifle.

I had good luck with Eotech.
They were provided to me then but my CQB days are over. Don’t see any need for a dedicated CQB rifle now.
I have several ARs. Some with $1000 scopes on them. The rest I need to be able to use from 0-100 yards. I doubt many of us actually have a need for a dedicated CQB rifle, same as almost none of us actually have a need for a CC gun.

Chinese made, American designed. Nothing Vortex makes is made in America. Maybe assembled in final steps here, but everything below the Razor lines are manufactured in China, and the higher end glass is made in Japan.

Vortex makes it easy to buy their stuff with that warranty. Haven't heard anything negative about Eotech since the delamination issue which was like a decade ago. But they do lack some features that most other optics have and they need to update them.

Google the UH-1. Outside the glass it’s as made in America as Aimpoint or Eotech.
