Remington Ammo Recent News

I have tried using Remington ammunition, off and on, for 50 years.
The only product that wasn't just fodder was some 7mm-08. Everything, I repeat everything else was garbage.
Not even the 22 stuff was any good.
On yeah, it went "Bang!" but that's about it.
I don't get it.
I never have.

Hopefully that issue will change to the better for you since Remington Ammunition has new owners? Hoping so.
Should and could be a whole new ball of wax? Same name, different players, different game?

Shotgun ammo prices seem outrageous. They’re not going to sell much STS target ammo at $14 per box.

I noticed the prices across the board are high.

To Clarify better:
I didn't post recent news about Remington Ammunition because of good prices. Posted it because it's about the companies "Health" and being back into production, which relieves some of the market stress on all ammunition and consumers in general. - Which should overall be a good thing.

Also, with pricing? Keeping in mind Remington Ammunition is actually a new company with an old name and likely a new approach, it may be a suggested MSRP which is generally higher than actual retail price usually is.

That's likely the scenario since hadn't seen any ammo actually for sale on site. NOTE: There's posted prices, but there's no "buy here, pay here" boxes or info.

I have been shooting for almost fifty years. During that time, I have tried using Remington's products repeatedly, sometimes with a decade separating those experiences. That would mean to me that if they (Remington) were truly interested in product improvement, it would have happened given the time frame. My feelings were, they had been trading on their good name since WW2.
Now that they were acquired by another company who really is interested in market expansion, I am quite sure their quality will improve; however, I will wait for the reviews to come in.

True Story: When my Government Model was still new, lo these many years ago, I was shooting paper at 25 yards using White Box Winchester ball ammo (the cheapest I could find that day). I whipped out my brand spanking new box of (what was priced at the time in the "premium" range) Remington 230 grain ball ammo. When fired at the same range under the same conditions, the projectiles WERE HITTING THE DIRT ABOUT TEN FEET IN FRONT OF THE TARGET!

I gave the remainder of the box to a fellow on the range.

No, I didn't pick up the brass, I wasn't assembling my own ammunition at that time.

I have shot a bunch of 12 GA Remington shells 7 & 1/2 , 8 , high base 6's & 4's , lots of Rem. .357 mag 158 GR SJHP , and a lot of Rem. 30-30 150 and 170 GR ammo. Never a problem.

I will only use CCI mini mag .36 GR HP .22's though.

I'm glad you are having success!
I do not use the shotgun much and never for hunting.
All of my 357 are assembled here.
