yes being retired we often find any day can be a friday or friday or friday or even a friday with knocking off work early
but yet for some reason time flies now, unlike when i was deployed.
its cold toady so i am slow cooking a pork loin in crockpot ...whole house smells good like warm food with a hint of bbq
lately i do all the chores and food shopping by weds...just in case friday comes early

retirement S.U.C.K.S.I was in the backyard thinkinglife ain’t all that bad . Today is Thursday got the propane barbecue going with some bacon cooking and the smoker going with some salmon good day hope y’all is the same
i am bored, i hate being bored..i wanna do some "light duty work" that actually pays me, not the wife saying "thank you", and that's even when she feels like saying THAT MUCH....!
i wanna get away from the house, this "Old House", that's killing me, and making me miserable, so much, that taking a nap, takes me away...like a Calgon bath tube commercial.......
i have my hobby/sport with either going to the gun club, or the range. i can reload ammo, at any time..!!
i can watch tv, eat snacks, go down to the mail slot, and get the mail!
i can go out shopping for us, or our kids, but i am bored, i have no purpose in life, being retired.

i don't even have a grille, wood, charcoal, propane, or gasoline........
wanna know why..????......cuz i'll be the dumbass that has to clean it...!!!!!!!!!
and not even hear a "good job honey"......nuffin....!!!!!....nada......!!!!!!

but i still get up at 4-AM daily...7 days a week..I retired nine years ago.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I got used to not working for a living.

then retired retired 3 years later
i do on occasion get stir crazy
i want to go on a shopping spree, then the LGS is out of what i want
i just counted 600; plus or minus empty 308 shells..i had no idea i had so many .thinking i might need to buy a rifle press and reload them.
do i need to buy a new bench? how will i set it up??? oh its 3 pm..nap time

I’m at work too. I hope I get to retire. My plan B is to drop dead in a ditch I just dug so at least the wife will get paid.
