RONIN 3" 9mm

Question just bought a Springfield 3" RONIN 9mm. info says the mag holds 9 rounds yet if you put in 9 rounds you cannot install the mag with the slide closed? Is this normal

Yes, it is hard to do. Have to really slam it home to get 9 + 1.

Welcome from Texas. Yes, I have one also, and thought the same thing. That is why they come with the “slam pad”. I carry mine 9+1.

I think their magazine is to prime your firearm.
I had the same issue with the Ronin 45. I carry with one chambered and a spare magazine that really hold 9 rounds. So maybe it's by design.

My EMP (not a Ronin-older model) will hold 9 +1 but NOT easily. As the mags age t gets a bit easier, but you still need a fair smack to seat. I usually don’t bother.
