I think the recoil could be largely overcome with the right loads and grip and stance alteration. But why ? I say this as a shotgun guy, there is no useful role for this thing. I mean there are roles it could fill, but not as well as other things that punish you less.
Makes my hand throb just looking at it. Been a lot of years, probably 50, my aunts second husband had an old, guessing HR Topper, which had been cut down to a pistol size. Do not know who, I assume he did, cut the barrel stock and forearm down but it was a viscious little bugger. Shot it once to his great amusement. All I remember is great pain.
