RXM: Ruger/Magpul Collaboration Pistol

I don’t like posting things that aren’t confirmed, but this is getting at least some reluctant head nods of confirmation from those in charge.

Apparently Ruger and Magpul have joined forces to make an improved Glock 19-ish pistol. It looks like it may have a swappable Fire Control Unit ala the Sig P320.

Some dealers leaked these early and got yelled at.

I swear that new guns are designed by a committee of engineers, lawyers and bean counters that couldn't pick out Michelangelo's David from a pile of rocks. Spray painting the damn thing, hello kitty pink or tactacool desert tan don't cut it. But, hay, if it lifts your skirt have at it.

The range/shop I taught at has everything. We got a Stoeger STR9 as both a rental and hooked up with them. Talk about a budget gun that works like a champ.

Stoegers always has rebates and if you catch it you can get into that for 225-275 and it is a shooter.

All of us have shot a fair amount out of the rental gun and we sold like 100 or more ha last couple years.

So I can recommend the Stoegers to anyone but especially if someone isn’t really a gun person and wants a fire extinguisher gun for their house and they have a variety of sizes from Glock 26-19 to 17 size

Hey Belt, how does your Rost shoot?
I handled one at LGS a few months ago ; at least it felt much better than the average plastic fantastic to me. $430 iirc… But I didn’t bite. I’m about “plastic-ed out” anymore.
 
I saw that "coming soon" a few days ago on Insta and thought hmm. While I have believed Ruger needs to step up from that boat anchor American pistol they've had for some years now if this ^ is it it's a letdown. With the Echelon and now the Echelon Compact, the new XD Mod.3, the H&K CC9, this leaked photo looks boring.
