A new 41 magnum?
"These guns were the precursor to the Winchester and was also Smith & Wesson’s first foray into the firearms industry."
Only around 1,700 pistols were manufactured c. 1854-1855 by Smith & Wesson before the venture was reorganized into the Volcanic Repeating Arms Company. Of those, only 500 were these larger No. 2 pistols.

Cool they're making it though, I'm all for any new gun regardless if I will ever have one or not

Unfortunately if you want a quality one from an American company that’s what you are going to have to pay. While the MSRP seems high they will be a couple hundred less Runger had to make new machines as the old Marlin equipment was unserviceable. S&W obviously had to start from scratch. Henry is a little cheaper but not by much
The days of 400-600 dollar Marlins are long gone.
Rossi and a few others are decent and in the 7
6-700 range wether that is good enough is for each person to decide.

Hopefully in the next 2 years. Now if they'll make it in 500mag (non-revolver type, but even that might be good? Kinda on the fence about that 1.

I'd sell my rossi 44mag for that 1. It's a good gun, but not a fan of top elections. If they got rid of the removable tube they could get 2 more rounds at least.
