SA 35 extractor issues

I am wanting to purchase the new SA 35 but have reservations about the extractor failures I keep hearing about after 400-800 rounds.

This seems like the manufacturer would have a recall and rework their extractor problem instead of waiting for everyone who purchased one to ship them back after the failure occurs in the field.

Does anyone know if the newer serial numbers are still having the extractor issues or has the extractor been reworked or upgraded in the newer serial numbers?

Found a you tube video where one SA35 owner had zero malfunctions after 1200 rounds and then changed out the springs as a preventative measure. He did mention using only 124 grain ammo only. No 115. It is a little more expensive but could save a malfunction in the field. I had a similar issue with the Sig 938 where it would stovepipe 115 but run like a champ with 124. Save the 115 for the 92F, it eats everything.

A 9mm pistol should be able to shoot any weight of ammo, I have very little faith in YouTube postings, lots of people will just post stuff to stir the pot, only issue I know with this pistol is the extractor one, never heard anything about not using 115gr ammo

Mine failed with both 115 and 124 grain.
4 different brands .
All top tier brands
Several brands in 115 gr
Several brands in 124 gr
Also with 5 diff mags

It should be able to chew up 125 & 124 gr as a standard 9mm pistol.

I understand an issue with one brand of ammo. That happens. Several of my firearms dont like a particular brand.
It shouldn't fail on many brands equally

i have shot 200 rnds, 115 grain, Magtech, no issues..

then i shot 100 rnds, of S&B 124 grain, no issues.

i think that S/A took care of the issues with the higher up serial numbers, mine is over 66XX in sequence.

Thanks for the feed back. I have always wanted a hi power because they look awesome and I shot a Belgian made model back in the 90’s. The extractor issue sounds like it is fixable so I am going ahead with my purchase.
