I would also like a left handed version. Have a right handed 1911 and I didn’t realize how much of a pain it would be having the safety on the “wrong” side.

With SA's history, I'm sure there will eventually be plenty of variations offered. But hey, how about giving them a year or two to catch up with the demand on the initial model?

Here ya go.PLEASE ,Browning gods, have an ambi- safety for it. Have waited years for a decent replacement for the original!!!!!! This looks to be it in spades!!!!!!!
It's as wide as the original since it's an updated clone. BHP's have always been one of the "slimmest" 9mms in the slide area, but the grip will be the thickest due to the double-stacked mag.How wide is the new High Power?

An Official Journal Of The NRA | Springfield Armory SA-35 High Power: Classic, Modern, American
It’s been several years since the venerable Browning Hi Power was imported by its original European manufacturer. Now the classic is being made by Springfield Armory right here in the United States— at a surprisingly reasonable price.www.americanrifleman.org

It's the same grip as the original. The grip panels may differ.Hmm…the grip was always one of the major attractions of the BHP for me…
I so hope they didn’t ruin that… :/
Light rail would be great too.A light railed model would be kinda sweet.
If we’re making requests.
But I’m pretty sure I will pick one of these up, compare it to my Cylinder & Slide massaged Mk3.
I still carry my Hi Power on occasion, the only thing keeping it from being everyday carry is the lack of a light. If Springfield adds a rail, I will be first in line to pick it up. the only potential issue I see there is finding a slim enough light to fit properly. I think most are designed to mesh with chunkier framesA light railed model would be kinda sweet.

Wouldn't worry too much about the light too much. If SA produces a railed one, lights should come at same time or shortly after production. Lights that fit and work for railed 1911's should work too?I still carry my Hi Power on occasion, the only thing keeping it from being everyday carry is the lack of a light.
