I wouldn't put it past Springfield to someday release something that changes my mind, but as of right now the announced version of the SA-35 is the exact version I want. The only thing I might change is a tritium front night sight.

I still carry my Hi Power on occasion, the only thing keeping it from being everyday carry is the lack of a light. If Springfield adds a rail, I will be first in line to pick it up. the only potential issue I see there is finding a slim enough light to fit properly. I think most are designed to mesh with chunkier frames

They’ll go with a standard rail—either a 1913 or Universal (Glock) pattern (probably 1913)…and the BHP is big enough to put a full-sized light in it.

My X300 will go great on one…
