Okay, I had not plan to buy one. Really. Well someone needs to clear out a collection for reasons I don't need to go into. I have a new to me SA*35. What do I need to know about it. It looks like it was never fired and I'm paying $550 for it. It has a cardboard box, one mag and padded zipper pouch. Seems nice.

No. It's over 8,000.

The (few) guys that I know who are HP nuts speak highly of the SA. I think for that price you did well.

No. It's over 8,000.

Cool, most SA-35’s under serial number 6000 had the extractor issue, my dealer told me when I bought mine that Springfield had that issue corrected by the 6000 number

Mine has a 25000 serial number and the extractor broke right off the bat. Springfield fixed it quickly and I've not had any further problems and I like the pistol.

The SA-35 is the Hi-Power with all the most wanted upgrades already in it. Buy it!

I bought it. It came with one mag and no holster. Now I am looking at the 13, 15, and 32 round mags.... I have heard that it will fit 1911 holsters. Can anyone verify this as fact?

Midway USA had the SA-35 15 round mags a little cheaper the Springfield, that’s where I got my extra mag from, not sure about holster, I just use a Versa Carry leather holster, it’s kind of universal fit type

They will go in a 1911 holster. That’s not the same as fitting as some makers say. A Commander length 1911 holster is closer in length.

Well I think I want to carry it. It's a giant chunk but it has a natural point of aim for me. The only modification I may do is get a fiber-optic front sight through Dawson Precision. I will be adding a light/laser; the Streamlight TLR-6 meant for non-rail 1911s will work apparently.

It may seem like a giant chunk, but the shape is so friendly to carry it will feel smaller. Try it. You'll see.
