Saint edge gas blow back

I just got the saint edge and I am getting a lot of gas blow back in my face. Is it that normal because of the muzzle brake or do I need to adjust something?

What Saint edge did you buy ?
A Pistol or a 16” barreled rifle ?

What ammo are you using ?

What brand, and grain ?

Where are the casing flying off to ?
2 o'clock
3 o clock ??

May have to tune the gas a bit

Not sure where the casing were fly off to. What does it mean if they were heading to the 2:00 or 3:00 positions?

The muzzle break is pretty nasty on the edge.

Either that or it is over gassed.

When you fire a round, depending on how much or little the gun is gassed, will determine where the round ejects. Straight out the right of the port is 3 o clock… if it shoots back towards your shoulder is 4 o clock. Semi Forward towards the barrel is 2 o clock . A ton of gas will throw it 2 o clock
Proper gas is 3-4 o clock

So, outdoors ( not deflecting off an indoor gun range wall), does the round land to your right straight out from you, slightly off to your shoulder behind you or out in front of you at an angle about 2 o clock ?
That will tell you how the gun gas system is too much or too little
