Saint Victor .300 Blackout

So, I purchased one of these and love it.
Bought some ammo from a local gun store that was selling FT. Scott 300 Blackout that are considered defense round at 32.95 a box. Only problem is that it jams the pistol all the time. Bolt doesn't go all the way forward since it jams up. Have to break the pistol down and force the bolt backwards to get it to eject. Can't even shot it with those rounds. It even jammed my son's full size 300 that I'd built for him. Had bought some from a friend that remanufactured his own ammo and his works fine in both of them, no jams. Gonna take the ammo back to the gun store I'd purchased it at and try to get my 240.00 back for the seven boxes I'd purchased. Took a picture of both rounds and the Fort Scott rounds look to be made to short, the projectile, which is causing the problems. Have attached a photo that I'd taken and put a tape measure behind both rounds.

I understand it will hurt financially but pick up some ammunition made by a reputable manufacturer, I never heard of Fort Scott but that doesn’t mean they aren’t ok but maybe just not for your gun. Also don’t buy more then one (1) box until you find one that works.
If your LGS knows you they might take back the FS but most times ammunition is not returnable. Good luck.
Also just a heads up pick up Super Sonic they work better then Sub Sonic, I know from experience.

I think that is supersonic ammo he's using. When I looked up Fort Scott .300blk ammo they had 2 choices for the same line with one of the choices being a 115gr bullet. The 190gr subsonic had it written on the face of the box.

I looked this up thinking the same thing that he maybe using subs without a suppressor.

Thanks, I didn’t see that. The thing is I didn’t have those drastic issues when I had mine, it would shoot and eject but wouldn’t cycle the BCG far enough back to reload.

Agree, appears case size is different. Have heard of, never tried. Read Fort Scott ammo makes the "tumbling round."

I reload for .300AAC and can say without a doubt that from the picture the shoulder of the casing is not set back far enough-which causes it to stick in the chamber-
I was having the same reaction on some of my reloads until I figured out what my problem was-

I've seen case lengths from 1.365 to 1.353", but as long as the shoulder is correct it will chamber fine. The c.o.a.l. with the same powder charge and bullet (brand and weight) will have pressure range differences. Depending on powder it can be too little or too much pressure.
