Thanks!!Well, I think if it came that way it should be legal, Springfield wouldn’t market it or sell it if it wasn’t.
Thanks!Right now sure, in the future who really knows. How will the courts rule who knows
From what I'm hearing in August some braces, including the SBA3 are not going to be legal and will mean a tax stamp and SBR.Just wanted to make sure the Pistol Brace that was shipped with
the gun was legal? The Brace that came with the gun was a
SB Tactical SBA3
Thanks
Currently it's still legal to shoulder a pistol brace. It’s legal as long as you don’t shoulder it like a stock.
Not true. BATF changed their opinion on that a while back. Don’t remember the exact wording on it, but it’s ok to shoulder a brace. It’s legal as long as you don’t shoulder it like a stock.
yep. Something like occasional or incidental contact with the shoulder. And the point was that how you use the brace does not change the definition of the brace. So, really, it’s fine to shoot from the shoulder. I just hope this stupid points thing does not go through. It’s absolutely ridiculous and virtually impossible to understand and comply with it.I believe their wording was that they would allow occasional contact with the shoulder, but a brace was not to be used as a stock as a matter of habit. Usual grey statement.
You’re citing an article from 2017. Here’s one from 2022 that details the whole timeline and as of 2022 the situation is:Currently it's still legal to shoulder a pistol brace.
