Savage 1907: Not the 1905, and Not Even the 1911

Savage, pistol? - Possibly surprising to some people? An interesting, longer and involved read about a earlier competitor pistol to the 1911 by Savage and it's variations. Plenty of pics and descriptions.

Very cool old guns, and they do shoot well as noted. I actually had an acquaintance who was really into old cars and guns. He actually rotated a Savage 380, a Colt pocket hammerless and an old Sw Terrier revolver for ccw carry when he first got his license. He had since moved on but he thought it was cool.

Another good read that collecting old guns is not my thing but very interesting read. The only thing I have in gun collection is an old daisy 1886/1936 golden eagle 🦅

Thanks and you're welcome javbike, nothing wrong with that. Daisy is a great old well designed brand and gun.

- Over years and experience, have learned to appreciate many older things in life more because of the sometimes better quality, durability, simplicity and design. Some newer made goods are nice in some ways, but sometimes something's just missing from the equation besides the simplicity of good old durable and usable engineering?

Older "Toaster Tech" - where things were simpler and more efficient is sometimes best? TV's for example? Used to be, just turn on TV's power, sometimes adjust antennae and watch, now days not so much? The power goes out now and tedious programming is lost in the next breeze? Like spare mags for guns, battery backups on electronics may still be useful but rarely seen?
