I would never fill out an electronic 4473. I also would never buy a stripped lower from anyone who forced me to choose pistol or rifle.

My LGS always runs new lower sales as ”other".

I'm with you on this where I wouldn't use a store that assigned a designation to the lower where it's not required by law.
