Scheels Store - OMG

A lot of the Cabelas/Herters ammo is rebranded S&B.

We have a mini-Scheels without the Ferris wheel. But when I'm in CO I go to the BIG Scheels nearby with one. Sort of top dollar prices with occasional sales.

But they seem to get stuff that other places can't, or haven't gotten yet.

Scheels is sort of a glizzy version of the "old" pre-BassPro Cabelas.

Yeah, I had too much Turkey and was partially hallucinating when I wrote that. My comment still stands. I have been in Scheels on many occasions where I’ve walked back out with no ammo because Blazer and maybe Federal are the only options and none of it is 124gr, which is my preference. When I was in there to pick up my Henry they had no .357 whatsoever. Great gun selection though.
I cannot disagree. I find it AMAZING that my Springfield Il. store stocks tons and tons of .40 cal and maybe 12 boxes of range 10mm and IF I'm lucky they may have one brand and bullet weight of defense 10mm and never more than 5-8 boxes. I've given up.

We stopped there every year for years on the way to SD for pheasant hunting. They are dog friendly, my Lab got lots of pets there

Yesterday - 1st time in a Scheels store (new in Chandler,AZ). OMG - they had almost everything firearms related in stock (well not almost everything - but way above and beyond anything I've ever seen in a physical store). Entire store was pretty impressive as well.
none of those stores here.., you make it sound so wonderful, it sounds like i'd be on.....

I went to Scheel's once in Colorado Springs. I wanted to buy a Benchmade Griptilian and they were the only place in town that had one and it was $20 cheaper than anyone else's advertised price.

It's a great store but I found it absolutely overwhelming. It was just too much

The Colorado Springs store is 220,000 square feet of sales floor with 40,000 square feet of stock rooms and Mezzanine.

In the middle of the store there's a vaulted ceiling that turns the entire building into an echo chamber.

It was like standing next to a waterfall. I couldn't hear right for two days afterward.

I have to say they have the best customer service I've ever experienced

Great knife. I just got home about a half hour ago from the 5.11 store where I bought a Barrage for well below any advertised prices thanks to Black Friday.

Thanks for letting me know there is a store in Chandler, but I didn't find this out until I got home. Oh well, I'm kinda broke right now anyway.
On a happy note, my shotgun has shipped and I installed my .45 ACP caliber conversion, new dies and powder drop is adjusted. My SD is still broke, but I'll be happy with the setup on my 650.
