My SA scope in on the way back from the warranty dept. It has the 56 mm objective and right now I'm using SA rings ge5068. I'm looking to change them out but don't know what height rings I have. SA just says standard height. Would that be a medium height ?
 
Manufacturers measure & report their rings in various heights. Some, the height from the bottom of the ring to the base, and others from the base to the center-line of the ring.

What platform are you using it on?

With a 56mm is a big objecive, but like any other scope you'll need enough clearance while mounting it as low as you can to the bore line.

If you have a LGS with a good selection of rings & they would allow you to try various heights to find the one that works, and measurethe ones you have against what they have available.

To keep as close as possible will be 1.125-1.35" center line or at the top of the bottom half of the ring. As for a mfg it's all your call.
 
Been using the scope on an M1A. The rings on it now I've been using since 95 but want to change out. When I looked up the info on SAs web site it just says standard height like I said but that tells me nothing. I'll have to take one of the rings I have into the shop and match up. Thanks guys
