Selective hearing

Ever say something to someone and the response you get is no where close to what you expected? Just to find out that the person you were talking to 1/2 listened to what you said?

Yes the girlfriend said I do this to her. And I know for sure she does it to me specially when i'm talking about gun and hunting. She loves gun and shooting , she just not into the all the extra stuff.

That used to happen to me a lot, until I got hearing aids....realized people were listening to me but I was only 1/2 hearing and understanding what they were saying.
