I've used plenty of the S&B 115gr 9mm Luger rounds, but have not shot any of the Makarov 95gr. 9mm. Anyone have any experience with it?
Thanks for the info. The 95gr Makarov threw me. Looking for 9mm Luger, and I like the S&B brand, which is not available locally. Well, actually, no 9mm is available locally. It’s not 9x19–aka 9mm Parabellum, Luger, or generic “9mm”.
It’s not .380 (aka 9x17, 9mm Kurz, Corto).
It’s 9mm Makarov (MuhKARov). 9x18. The Russian 9mm.
It will not work in a standard 9mm, nor a .380.
Nice work on helping someone out. Don't need any problems. It’s not 9x19–aka 9mm Parabellum, Luger, or generic “9mm”.

It’s an understandable mistake; the big thing is that since the 9mm Mak has a larger diameter bullet (.364, I think) than standard 9mm, it SHOULDN’T feed, but if by chance it did...it will likely over pressure as it swages the bullet down, and bad things could happen.Nice work on helping someone out. That why we are here. To help each other. I did know that it was the Mak but didn't know that the bullet had a larger diameter. So I learned something too. And we don’t want that to happen to anyone.
I generally have a bad opinion of S&B. It doesn't give me what I'm looking for.I've used plenty of the S&B 115gr 9mm Luger rounds, but have not shot any of the Makarov 95gr. 9mm. Anyone have any experience with it?

Sorry to hear that. I've not had one malfunction with their 9mm 115gr FMJ, feeding it through the XD Mod2, XDS, or M&P EZ9. Their .380 rounds didn't cause problems in my wife's LCP or EZ380 either.I generally have a bad opinion of S&B. It doesn't give me what I'm looking for.
You snooze, you lose...literally. Last night I found some 9mm rounds online at my usual source where I physically go (Ft. Campbell) to buy my ammo, and firearms, and they had some Fiocchi 124gr FMJ ($12.99 50rnd bx), and some Magtech 115gr FMJ ($10.99 50rnd bx). Didn't feel like getting my butt out of my chair to get my credit card, and told myself I'd order 5 bxs of each in the morning. Well......got up just a moment ago and got online, and the Magtech stuff was already sold out! So.....ordered 10 bxs of the Fiocchi. Have never used that brand before, but have heard/read that it's decent.
Thanks, HansFiocchi is good ammo as well. I’ve had good luck with it.
Yep, if not for the heads-up from members here, I would've probably ord'd it.I've seen a few websites recently that sell ammo pull up the 9mm Makarov ammo when you search for 9mm Luger. Its very annoying, and I am sure a lot of folks don't know the difference and end up ordering it, as its one of the few "9mm" ammos in stock at these places.
