How hard is it to add the safety on an M&P? Mine's a 5" Performance Center. Did you do it yourself? I want one, but doing this is a bit out of my comfort zone...

How well do you like that 9pc? The 1st 9 I bought was the 1.0 4.25" and rather than buying a complete firearm I bought a complete 5" upper/slide. The matte finish barrel is from Apex that required fitting. Tighter fit than factory barrels with a longer lock time. The Timney on the 4" 10mil (previously posted) is 2.5-3# lighter pull than factory (2# 14oz-3# pull).

A true No Name 98 Mauser I picked up on a whim. There's 1 military part on it, the bolt shroud, the rest is who knows. It needs a new recoil pad, and I updated the Weaver bases, got some Weaver rings, and an inexpensive 6 power scope.
It's a slow project, as I have had no luck in the search for a replacement recoil pad.

This is a high 900 thousand Springfield 1903 I found at the same shop as the previous Mauser.
This rifle was sporterised by a smith that knew his business. The bolt is original to the receiver and it sports a Lyman receiver sight patent dated 1911.

I LOVE being the Oddball at the range, this covers everything from using an M1 Carbine in three gun matches, to a pseudo 5.56mm Colt Commando pistol in CQB matches.

Unfortunately this oddity won't be used in an action shooting event, but I'm sure I won't see another like it locally.

This started out as a BSA manufactured Cadet rifle in .310 Cadet, and made for military schools in Australia.

Mine has been rechambered in .357 Magnum, the barrel slightly shortened, and the rear sight replaced with a scope base.

Since I acquired it, I replaced the 1 power scope it came with, with a 1950s Weaver K4.

It's long overdue a range trip, but here it is.

I recently found a lonely P239 on the 'used' shelf at the LGS, in quite good condition. Made in 2008, frame made in Germany, assembled in NH. In the original box with 3 mags for under $500. I've wanted one of these for a long time, and always loved the cool, classic looks of the P239.

It needed a few upgrades - the OEM hammer strut/seat is notorious for being a complete PITA to do mainspring swaps with, so I upgraded all that with a new strut/seat/spring from Matrix Precision, which now makes swaps a breeze and makes it compatible with mainsprings for the other more readily available P-series models. Stock rubber grips got swapped out for Hogue checkered aluminums and Hogue grip screws. Probably going to leave the sights alone for now.
