It wouldn't do me any good to take that firearm to the range. I couldn't see the sights . It does have sights doesn't it? It is a nice find. Congatulations.Absoeffinglutely!

The first 1911 I shot was an Argentine colt 45,. It belonged to a friend of mine. On the first round the spent case flew back and hit me on top of my head....I thought the targets were shooting back.It is INDEED and Argentine Colt .45

It’s close, but with a few differences. If I remember right, it’s the same as a commander style, Springfield just named there version a different name.
I wasn’t sure but I knew they were close, thanks HansIt’s close, but with a few differences.
The Champion had a 4” bull barrel and no barrel bushing, compared to a Commander’s 4.25” barrel that used a bushing.
The Delta Elite is one of the best guns that I have fired. Its just a great shooting gun.I have been a proponent of the 10 mm cartridge for a long time, and was reloading for it before there was any information printed in any manual. At the risk of being booed off the podium, I present to you my Colt Match10 Delta Elite.
I have loved this gun from the day I got it. 20 years ago the rubber wrap around Delta elite grips rotted off and I replaced them with some Rosewood, and then with some irony-look giraffe bone. The Match10 is the only factory match grade gun of the Delta Elite series that is blued steel.
