This is why I don't own any optics. I would never put one on a carry gun either. I know I will be told otherwise but I will be never convinced. My feelings are if you can't hit anything with iron sights shouldn't be carrying a firearm for self defense.

Uhh... Do you wear glasses? This is the main reason I have a dot. I need glasses to see my sights in full clarity. I don't use them for this and to read. Meaning that I might not always have them. regardless of distance my dot is crystal clear.

I mean it doesn't hurt that my apparent accuracy has also dramatically increased at much longer (50+ yard shots) as well using EDC short barreled 9mm's.

Exactly. Red dot (I prefer green) sights were a huge game changer for me. And I do have one on my EDC. If someone doesn't have an open mind about them and is not willing to train in their use, then that is on them. That leaves more green dot sights for the rest of us! lol HK VP9SK with a Holosun green dot is what I carry these days.

That's an awesome set up. I have the same one. What are your thoughts on the SCS ? I like them better than the Cs and Ks.

I find the auto brightness feature is much better than the ones on the 507s.

The battery in my Remeo 1 pro died, lasted a few years with shake awake. 1632's seem to be difficult to find in a lithium version. I do not trust Amazon, never know what your gonna get.

I buy Energizers off Amazon every year. Never had any issues. I change all of them once a year. Costs about $25.

The thing about Amazon is the same thing like in the old days with eBay. Just pay attention to who you're buying from. Pretty much anything that's "Amazon Prime" is going to be good generally.
