silencers (suppressors) for revolvers..???

Hanna Gutierrez Reed's father is the famous Thell Reed. Legendary fast draw artist/instuctor and movie armorer since the 1960s. He was part of the old "leather slap" group that featured Jack Weaver and Jeff Cooper among others.
This was Hanna's first movie as head armorer. She complained many times about being used more as a gopher than an armorer. Often pulled away from her primary duties for minor tasks.
I'm sure she knew better. Personally, I think she was thrown under the bus to save Baldwin's ass. 🤬

yeah, i knew the father was an armorer, but the rest i have no idea who or what they are/were.

being a scapegoat is nothing new, in any industry.

but to "have known better", she certainly did not do such, at least, according to her end result.

What is aggravating at least to some is that she didnt pull the trigger. Don't we all know if you drive it you own it, with firearms - you pick it up and aim and pull the trigger - you own it. Why the double standard here? bc she wasn't connected enough, rich enough, progressive enough? why does he get away with it

we can thank the prosecutors office for if i recall, mucking that up.

he still gets (or got) sued in civil court

Because it was her job to make sure the gun wasn't loaded. Specifically. Yeah someone else pulled the trigger, the same way Keanu Reeves pulled the trigger a million times in the JW movies. You can't apply gun laws to movie prop guns. When you do you end up with prosecutors overcharging and cases getting thrown out. As it should have. Nevertheless, the armorer, who's job it is to make all firearms on the set safe, was negligent. Hence the negligent manslaughter charge.

My Big Boy X with 38sp is quieter than Hollywood quiet. The only thing you hear is the bolt. Whenever I shoot it people giggle. Or maybe that’s aimed at my partner…
