Do you know anyone who actually injured their back that way?Tried it. Nope no way. As a LEO why do you think most of us leave our backs open on our duty belts ? For the fact of if we fall on our backs or pushed into a wall or car or something you risk injuring your back pretty badly. Just my two cents worth....
If memory serves Mannix carried SOB. I believe he carried a Walther in the first few shows and a DETECTIVE special after that.Young impressions last a long time. I can't see or hear of SOB carry without thinking of every "office girl" on The Man from UNCLE, circa 1965-66. Apparently that was standard UNCLE gear for the ladies. (Sorry, these are the best pics I could find.)

A fellow Deputy, while on a plain clothes assignment, lost his footing (no idea how), and tumbled down some stairs. A badly bruised coccyx resulted, which he claimed was still rather sore six months afterward. His physician claimed "he got off lucky."Do you know anyone who actually injured their back that way?
