Spit Shined SA-35

After another range day cleaning session I grabbed an old can of high gloss lacquer and gave the grips a "spit shine". I think it added a nice touch to it.
Absolutely loving this pistol. :D

yeah, i didn't have the right Minwax. went to Lowes and got a spray can of Minwax clear gloss.

directions say to wait 30 minutes between applications, and to wait 24 hours for the item to be fully dried for use.

i also gave the 35 a quick application of food grade mineral oil.

Glad I could help. LoL
well you did.

the grips actually feel better in my hand, over the (what is to me) the rough texture of the raw wood.

that was one of the reasons why i had replaced the grips on my Remington R-1911, for rubber.

i can work with wood, all day long, but the roughness of it, irritates my hands.

wished i had known of this little "trick" back then.
