Springfield 5.5 pdw saint or edge??

Thanks buddy appreciate any feedback, I'm so confused lol I literally can't find anything about them having a Springfield Saint victor pdw in 5.5. Other then the place I bought it from classic firearms, didn't even notice it said that when I bought it cause I was in such a hurry to buy it lol. I still love it was just a lil confused when I first got it. I'm gonna call Springfield tomorrow and see what they say since the box had to shipping lables on it one from Springfield going to classic firearms and another label from classic firearms to my ffl dealer. So it definitely came from the manufacturer

I can tell you they ( SA ) are definitely producing them. I think the general consensus is that they wanted people to be able to have a PDW even though the Edge lower is hard to keep in stock. If I recall correctly it's about $200 cheaper than the Edge DPW.

I called Springfield And the lady didn't know really anything other then she said they stopped making ar pistols lol and only making rifles and handguns at the moment so I gave her my serial number and she said its coming up as a saint victor dpw 5.5 and she also didn't have anything like that on her price sheet she only had a saint edge pdw 5.5 on there so I told her exactly now go and try to find a saint victor pdw 5.5 on there website and she couldnt, all she keep saying was im not sure so I asked her can I leave my number back for someone that actually knows whats going on like a manager or gunsmith and she said absolutely not lol so I hung up, I ended up emailing them and a lady by Lexi said that it was a special built for a distributor, The lady said there's no difference other than the lower, which I imagine they just ran out of lowers for the saint edge lol and they had to use the saint victor lower, anyways I'm still kinda happy with it just didn't know they made the pdw 5.5 in saint victor was a lil confused at first.

I saw one at my LGS the other day when I purchased other firearms. I was talking with my sales buddy, and said this was a topic on this forum. I believe someone on here ( in one of the other threads on this same subject), theorized that supply dried up for the Edge Billet lower receiver, so they rebranded the Edge upper to Victor and put it on the Victor lower to be consistent. My buddy and I agreed that this made sense.
Thanks it makes sense, which I figured but manufacturer should still have the right specs and info on their website along with a picture and msrp so I had them send me one here is the pictures they sent me

My guess is the ad firm they use to update their website hasn't been contacted for additional updates in the chaos of covid or perhaps is not on retainer.

I'd be happy with that. Looks like Qs sugar weasel except in black. I'm partial to the edge receiver as well. I have the edge pistol, the pdw has since been released but now you say they're on Victor lowers. Kind of a bummer, if you wanted an edge. I think I'd be darn happy if i knew that's what I was getting.

I'm a Saint Victor fan , I would love to add this to my collection , but the two that I posted two weeks back price was
$1,649 , Then Friday the same LGS go another in so I called for price it jumped to $1,849. A $200 increase in two weeks is crazy . The Saint Edge retail price is $1,777 So no way I'm paying more for a Saint Victor ..

I agree xdman, So the best we all come up with is that the lowers for the Saint Edge is not available so the are making The new PDW in the Saint Victor model which is great , But no info or price to compare out in the market place . As I said retail on the edge is $1,777 on the SA site . So you a an idea what price to pay for one , But as being a Victor the price should be quite lower more around $1.300 or 1,400. in my opinion .. I just was hoping to see if we could get any info from Springfield on this ...

Before the Saint Edge PDWs disappeared from gunbroker they were fetching 2500 to 3000, now they're gone.
The only non-Edge hardware seems to be the lower from what I can tell, so considering the brace and maybe a few other more expensive bits... I don't thing that the price is bad at all. I paid $1599 at my local LGS.

A local gun shop posted another SaintVictor 5.56 with the Saint victor lower. Price this time is ¢ 1,639. Again kinda high price ........
