Yeah I figured that was what the 12 meant. Thanks for the conformation. They were made in 2012 (that’s what the “12” designates). The F might be the height/model, Trijicon is the lamp manufacturer, H3 designates tritium (Hydrogen 3) lamps.

Hans, your the man, thanks for the info sir.
I didn’t know that’s what those numbers and stuff meant, really thanks, learned something tonight. The sights were made in 2012 (that’s what the “12” means). The F might be the height/model, Trijicon is the lamp manufacturer, H3 designates tritium (Hydrogen 3) lamps.
I’d venture they are original to the gun, as they have Springfields name on them.
Lamps have a half life of about 8-10 years, iirc. They should still be usable, but not super bright.
From the photos, it looks like an older model no light rail! It looks like a Government MDL 5" with target sights and a target barrel and bushing and target trigger Springfield's old version of Colts Gold Cup. Call customer service with the guns serial number they will be able to tell you when it was made and what came on it as it was shipped from the factory . 1-800.680.6866Hi,
I have come across Springfield Armory 1911 on one of the auction sites that has me a little confused. It is a 45 acp 5" govt size gun. It is 2 tone blue slide/stainless frame. The seller has it listed as a loaded model. It also has bomar style adj rear sight. I have looked at Springfield Armorys site and google for the last 2 days. I can only find all stainless models called loaded target. Mostly in 9mm. I can't find any 2 tone model in 45. The seller knows nothing about other than it's a Springfield Armory 1911. And admits to guessing the loaded part & has only one pic of the left side. It has all the loaded features, plus the bomar type rear sight.
Does anyone know what model this might be?
Thanks,
These are the only pics I have of it.

Well trijicon says the green lamp sights are warrantied for 12 years from date of manufacture. Do go to trijicon? or Springfield since their name is on the rear sight? Obviously they aren't very bright after 8 (approx) years? Not sure on that, but if I remember right on Springfields that have night sights, there have a 10 year warranty, but I may be wrong.

Your gun will be more accurate then the Gold Cups, I have owned several series 80 cups, none was as accurate as my older series 70, I had a SA 1911A1 in what they called Black Stainless, match barrel, target night sights, mag well, very...very accurate. Looked like this...Yeah it reminds me of a 2 tone gold cup.
I have the 1911 Range Officer® Elite 45 and it has a light rail in the forged frame. I thought all the new 1911s have a light rail my mistake. Most 1911’s don’t have rails...
I remember those...sharp looking pistolas, for certain.Your gun will be more accurate then the Gold Cups, I hove owned several series 80 cups, none was as accurate as my older series 70, I had a SA 1911A1 in whst they called Black Stainless, match barrel, target night sights, mag well, very...very accurate. The Gold Cup Lite from COLT This Colt pistol features a two-tone finish with a black slide and a brushed stainless steel frame. It also comes equipped with Blue or Gray checkered grips and an Adjustable rear and front fiber optic sight.Yeah it reminds me of a 2 tone gold cup.
I'll tell you when I get the new one, since I've already shot my used one that turned heads at the range.Only Colt I want now is the new Python after they get the cylinder issue corrected, hope it’s just as smooth and accurate as the older Pythons

Yeah I have a used Anaconda as well Hans. My prediction (if this pandemic doesn't effect it), is that Colt would announce the new Anaconda at Shot Show 2021. I saw an interview with a Colt Rep. and he hinted they would be looking at producing the large frame in the coming future, then he just had a wry smile if asked if the Anaconda was the next revolver they'd introduced.I’ve held one...dry fired it a couple times
I’m not sure if they’re there yet...then again, both of my original Pythons are “shot in”.
I’d be happy if they come out with a new Anaconda...I just don’t shoot mine anymore.
