Springfield Armory at the SHOT Show

The 1911 DS compact 3.5", is that the same size as a Glock 27? Is it DA/SA? Really hoping its not, I just got into a semi-serious relationship with my FN Reflex. I dont want to start cheating, we just went in on furniture.

Ohhh... false alarm. I just saw the MSRP. I looked at my FN and giggled. She's still safe.

I'd buy one. Especially it was compatible with Echelon magazines (and a 30+ round Echelon magazine was released.)
I’ve never been a fan of most pistol mag long guns unless they are range toys.

PCC or handgun chambered long arms their own designated mags of its for serious work. I say that as someone that carried MP5’s and Colt SMGs but that’s just me and doesn’t have to be you!

Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “Springfield Armory at the SHOT Show” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/springfield-armory-at-the-shot-show/.

Doesn't look like much of anything new. Color options, and a shorter barreled model. Maybe something more is in development. I'd like to see some added emphasis toward the 10mm caliber. Maybe (fingers crossed) in the Echelon platform. That said, love SA.

Last night I watched a YTer's video visiting booths at the Show. VERY nice presentation at the Springfield booth. However, the guy at the first booth he visited had the most important statement for me. They are working hard to get their firearms on the California Roster. I know Springfield is working on this, too, with the Echelon and other models. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Disagree. Folks should just stop selling to california - police included.
So screw folks that can’t move because of say senior parents or family! Yeah that shows them.

While yea Cali politics and way it is is horrible the election map shows they have been as red as they have been since they gave Bush 41 their 53 elevates in 1988. That is saying something.

Had the wildfire fiasco happened before the election I’d say Trump would have won by 54 additional electoral votes!

Things don't change until the pain of change is less than the pain of staying the same. California needs to feel pain - they've been protected too long by kangaroo courts. The people there deserve better... but won't get it at the ballot box any more. Time for the jury box in suits against unconstitutional laws, and time for companies like Springfield to take a stand on constitutional values - deny anyone a right and you deny everyone that right. No more "roster" guns. No more sales to law enforcement.

I'd love to get an Echelon 4.0C and compare it to my Walther PDP F-Series; similar in size and function. And, hey, I could do my own range test video and become an influencer! And then, I could get an invite to Shot Show 2026! I see it all happening now, just because I like Springfield Armory firearms! 🎉🥳
