Hello I have a question about the magazine on this model do you have to press the magazine release button to insert magazine doesn't seem to go in unless you push it is this normal or what thanks

You have to kinda exert some pressure on the mag to go in, normal on a new gun, some slam the mag in, but I just give mine a firm push and that usually works for me

Thanks for the help I tried it like you said and it worked I guess once you get it broke in it will get easier?

My relatively new Springfield 1911 needs a little nudge for it to completely engage.

The first couple of times out with my Emissary, it felt like it had a "catch" in it and I would either use the mag release to help or give it a solid bump to get it to seat but after a few range days, it's nice and smooth now.
Hoping for the same with yours.
