Springfield Armory Wish List

What would you like to see Springfield come out with next, I have several wants...

1. Bolt action precision rifle
2. .22lr in either the XD or Xdm format
3. Since now Springfield has there own red dot, how about a scope line of there own
#3 scopes could be nice. #1 they have. #2 there's likely .22lr conversion kits available elsewhere?
# 4 & 5? Revolvers & shotguns. #6 isn't likely happening with rocket launchers? :)

The only thing I'm hoping for is a compact XDm 10mm in the same size range as a G29, but with some obvious advantages over the G29.

The rest of the product line doesn't do much for me since I have SA 1911s & M1As from 15-30 yrs ago that are as good as, and some better, than the current product line.

My .02

Actually SA doesn't have a European factory since the XD/XDm line is made by HS Produkt in Karlovac, Croatia, and imported with the SA name on that line. But, I imagine SA has some input on what products would sell in the US.

I pestered a SA sales rep for 4-5 yrs about making a XD in 10mm to compete against the G20. He said that he'd get the same requests from the 8 western states he covered & finally it happened.

With the current political  climate I don't see SA being brave enough to go beyond their current product line, especially since it's far easier for the "wrong" politicians to ban imports (thru an executive order/action) vs. domestic firearms.

Fixed it fer ya.
Yes this too is my big want.
I haven't been anywhere to compare the two side-by-side, but have been thinking the 3.8 was getting in the ball park.

But here shows the XDM 3.8 more like a G19.

Whereas, the XD 3" sub-compact is more like the G29, but not in a larger frame to accomodate the 10mm.

The one true feature that the xdm has over g20/29/40 is ss mags. If you call it a feature. Not a grip safety fan and another reason I don't have 1911s. Giving that statement I have 2 xdms, but the kids (not goats) like them.

@Talyn
While it's close you're not going to squeeze a 10mm in into a 9mm frame. A wise man here said the 9/40 XD-m are on the same frame while the 45/10mm XD-m are on another frame. The 9/40 would be thinner I'm thinking.

I do know my 4.5" 10mm slide and barrel fit my XD-m 3.8 lower. The mags look way to close to tell they both hold each other's rounds. I've not tried to shoot them yet but was told it's okay to do so.

I wouldn't think the spring assembly for the 3.8" 45 would be okay for the 10mm but the barrels fit each other.

1. Bolt action precision rifle In 6.5 Creed Moor , AR Style Compared to SIg Sauer's Cross rifle .
2. Hell Cat In OD Green . Just because .....
3. Green & Red Dots ,
4. Scope line .

I want a Stacatto type 1911
A PCC something like a Stribog/Scorpion 9mm that uses maybe XDM MAGS, but scorpion mags are super cheap.
Springfield Suppressors

1) .45 ACP Hellcat
2) .380 ACP 911 with stack-and-a half magazine (a-la Ruger LCP Max)
3) .45 ACP XD-M Elite

I know that the .45 Hellcat couldn't match the current 10+1/13+1 mags, but I'd settle for a 7-8 round flush mag and a 9-10 round extended mag. My XDS Mod.2 in .45 ACP is a great gun, but the 5+1/6+1 capacity is what has kept it from being my EDC.

My current backup and pocket-carry piece (when my wardrobe won't allow for a larger pistol) is the Ruger LCP Max. It has been 100% reliable, has excellent sights, and is easily the best pocket gun on the market IMO. My only reasons for wanting a similar setup in the 911 are that I like single-action triggers and am comfortable with the traditional 1911 "cocked & locked" style of carry.

The .45 ACP XD-M Elite is on my list because my .45 XD Mod.2 is the most accurate .45 that I have ever fired. Chambering an XD-M Elite in .45 ACP is just the natural progression.
