Springfield should release a 22LR pistol

I admit, I am a big 22 fan. Mostly because it is so affordable to shoot.

As much as I don't like Glock, I plan on eventually getting the G44 to help train with my duty weapon since my agency doesn't provide any ammo to so.

But S&W makes the M&P compact (their site doesn't list the Fullsize anymore), Glock makes the 44, Sig has the P322, F&N has the 502, Taurus has the TX 22 ( a couple variations), Walther has the P22, and Ruger has all kinds of 22s.

Heck, at this point, Hi Point might drop a 22.

Why doesn't Springfield have like a XD22?

Just get a .22 conversion kit from Advantage.

I think the Hellcat platform would make great .22’s. Make the slides out of aluminum like the TX22 and make both the standard and pro size models. I’d be in for one of each if they proved reliable. Not sure what the import laws are concerning.22 pistols since they would probably come from Croatia.
