Springfield XDM 3.8 9mm Compact vs XDM 3.8 Elite 10mm same dimension for a holster?

Greetings everybody. Thank you in advance! I am reaching out to see if someone can tell me if the Springfield XDM 3.8 9mm Compact is the same dimensions as the Springfield XDM 3.8 Elite 10mm. Other than the barrel obviously. I am trying to get a custom holster made for my older 9mm Compact and the only choice the holster mfg has is the newer 3.8 Elite... Seems visually it looks identical. Anybody able to verify for me? Thank you!
 
You should not have any issues however if you go with Kydex keep in mind the Elite has a slide release on both sides so there may be a fitment concern.

Thx Keystone good point... I did just notice, I went to Springfields holsters that they sell and it says Fits all XDM 3.8" variants, including XDM Elite, and compact versions. That's a crossbreed so Kydex maybe a bit different. I am looking to get a custom Kydex
 
@dpnaylor - I don't have a .45 or 10mm XDm, so I unfortunately cannot confirm this for you first-hand, but here's a thread from XD-Talk that should help you.

In addition to the Elite's ambidextrous slide-stop/release, there are some dimensional issues between the 9/40 and 10/45 models that will present with tighter-fitting holsters - https://www.xdtalk.com/threads/xdm-10-4-5-comparative-dimensions.444389/

The polymer-plastic holster that SA includes as a part of the guns' standard kit is loose enough that it's not going to be problematic with these dimensional differences, but a tighter/closer-fitting Kydex/Boltaron or leather holster can prove problematic.

Get the holster for the Elite and the other compact should fit with no problem.

I bought the Crossbreed Reckoning for my XDM Elite Compact .45 direct from Springfield's website and it fits well. They don't offer one for each individual caliber it seems - so maybe it's a one fits all for the XDM Elites.
