I have difficulty ever getting rid of a gun. The only time I ever do it is when I'm trading-up for something. If finances allow, I'd hold onto both guns until I found something else that I wanted more. One of the benefits of the Hellcats is that they are small enough that you can carry two.
in contrast, i have NO problems selling off a gun or 2.
they are a commodity, that can be bought and sold at the snap of a finger.
here i sit, with a "mini" collection of like 30 guns, only recently selling off my Canik.
i have "tentative plans" to sell off my Korth Mongoose 6" 357 Silver DLC finish revolver, in the coming days or weeks.
why..??
many reasons, 1 being i just don't shoot it all that much.
i have a S&W 686 + and a Colt Python, in the same length and caliber. i haven't decided to keep or sell 1 of those.
in time, once i buy the Sig STX 1911 i have on order, many MORE of my collection will be sold off.
i am favoring the 1911's over the 9mm's and revolvers, hands down.
space is NOT an issue for me, time to shoot'em all, is not an issue for me either.
i think in the end, what i was told by a couple of guys at the range and even my club is that....
"better to have a few guns that you shoot, and shoot well (many of you have seen pics of my targets) then a collection that you can never get to shoot enough of".
also, of all my kids, grandkids, none of them have any interest in my collection, so it be best for my Mrs to only have to deal with a "few" rather than a whole roomful, when i die. i already have my lawyer up to date on selling them.
same with my 2 reloading presses and all the dies, and components. they are a commodity, that can be sold in a heartbeat.
