Stoeger STR-9F Review: Best Budget Striker-Fired Pistol?!

New budget minded polymer pistol from Stoeger, STR-9F, looks like it’s based on the Glock design, nice review and a good choice for those who have to watch there pockets but still need a firearm for protection.

The Stoeger looks nice and has some features that I appreciate (flat-faced trigger, 17-round capacity). The price is attractive, but I hate when manufacturers only include one magazine with a new gun. It seems like mags for Turkish imports are unusually expensive when compared to the purchase price of the gun ($35 in this case), and they can be difficult to find. I've been impressed by a few Turkish pistols recently, but I'm hesitant to purchase imports that have proprietary magazines and don't share magazine compatibility with any larger manufacturers like Glock or CZ.

That’s my feeling on either of Springfield’s EMP line, you get one mag, then if you want extras you gotta go through there store to get additional ones

The lack of additional magazines with higher-priced guns is one of the few complaints I have about Springfield. I wanted an SA-35 from the minute it was announced, but I was surprised that a $700 gun only came with one magazine. I found it even more surprising than usual because I remember all of the years when significantly cheaper XD models were part of the "Gear Up" program that included up to 5 magazines with purchase. I love my Springfield firearms, but I just don't see the logic behind including only one magazine with high-end 1911's and other premium models.

Look at Colt, Kimber, they do the same thing, one mag, ridiculous
