Stolen Flag Pole

I have a or I should say had a Sunsetter Telescopic Flag Pole in my front yard. It has been there for almost 30 years. When pulling into the driveway a little while ago I noticed its gone! My neighbor told me she saw 2 scuzballs pull up to my house and get out of the car and pull the flagpole out of the ground. The base is cemented into the ground and the pole is inserted into the base. They did this in broad daylight--a 20ft flag pole! Just can't believe it. Waiting for the cops to show up to take a report. Guess they are at the local donut shop having lunch!

I hope she gave a desciption of the car and the dirtbags to the police.

i had like 5 cinder blocks i used for stairs for the oilman to climb to gain access to the tank fills.

my fault, they were not cemented together.

gone, most likely during the night, but still in front of the house, under a street light pole.

"they" will steal anything.

this was like about 15 years ago.
 
Had a wheel stolen off my Saturn SC2 in my driveway one night, when I lived in New Brighton, MN circa 1997. They jacked up the car, de-lugged the wheel, let car back down on the hub. Pissed me off something fierce. It's amazing the feeling of violation over things so trivial...one feels burning hatred. I was in awe of how angry I was for a short while.

A 20' flag pole is a whole lot of aluminum to scumbags, and sells for a good price at the local scrap yard. Clean aluminum, which a flagpole would be considered, is likely more than 50¢/lb!!!!

NMEDGE, check around with the neighbors, maybe someone (or more) will have some video on their RING doorbell camera ... or maybe just some under eve security cameras.
 
No surprise. Get cameras. It's pretty clear you need them at your home now that this has happened. I've been waffling over cameras for years (do I want "Ring" that's online and can be hacked? Or pay big bucks for closed circuit with my own recording device...?). I am, unfortunately, waiting for something like what has happened to you, to happen to me before making the decision....For instances like yours, the police just are not interested.

you can get cameras that record and take pics that send to your phone via cell service.....it's usually 5-15 dollars/month.....game cameras have that tech and been used for 5 years or so
