Supportive Wife, Significant Other

Lucky to also have a wife very supportive of my shooting habits and desires. She likes to shoot with me, though not as often as she’d like.. and she’s a damn good shot (Yes…don’t **** her off is commonly said amongst friends and other shooters while at the range…lol)

Just another hobby we enjoy together, and I’m lucky to have her.

I am lucky to have a wife that is very supportive to my love of firearms and my feelings about the 2nd Amendment. She is not a gun person, but will come with me to NRA Conventions, Gun shows and Pro 2nd Amendment Rally’s. I never have to hide a firearm related purchase from her. She never gives me a problem about going away to training with my friends. I truly feel blessed. If you have supportive Wife, Significant Other or Friend at home let’s give them some praise
Semper Fi. Great post sir.

I think it's great that many of you all have supportive spouses. I used to attract the 'crazy' ones of the species so I have worked on myself to avoid those types of situations. I also have walked away from good women and learned from the experiences.

Life is better when you have a supportive significant other. I have some good friends that happen to be great women. They teach me a lot. And many of them are tougher mentally than lots of males I've known over the years.

I have 4 older sisters that I've seen go through a lot so my respect for women is very high. My mom was one of the best people I ever knew. Her lessons still teach me to this day.

My husband was the one who rekindled my interest in firearms. He is on the road a lot, and I am home alone in a small, rural community. Feels safe here, as there's a very visible LEO presence (their LE vehicles in driveways...), but things aren't always as they seem, as we all know.

He bought me a handgun, and I ran with it. I have since amassed a rather nice collection of handguns and a few long guns. He says he is rather proud of the fact that he turned me from a knife nut into a gun nut. I don't know that I'm a nut, per se, but I discovered that I love to shoot, and it is the thing that is keeping me sane lately.

I've met some really nice, interesting people since (both IRL and online), and I am discovering a lot about myself. I have my husband to thank for that. I just wish he was as into it as I am (not crazy about hitting the range alone, but hey..). That being said, he has never rolled his eyes when I bring home a new gun. He encourages me to learn more, and that is all one can ask for...a spouse who gets it.

Having a spouse on the same page is wonderful, but it works both ways too.
I‘d opine more but gotta run out and get new Halloween outfits for the front porch geese before the rush. Not allowed say if the theme will be Pa & Pa Kettle again (Best on Block award 1987) or Vegas-era Donny & Marie.

Just a different persective on the significant other. Soon after we were married I bought my wife a snubbed nose S & W Model 10 revolver. Having grown up in a rural area on a farm she had always been exposed to guns and hunting, so she loved shooting that revolver at the stump out behind her parent's house. She always supported my hobby ( as long as I occasionally sold one). I lost my wife several years ago and today that Model 10 has become a prized possession. Seeing it always brings back very happy memories. Having had a supportive spouse means as much to me today as it did years ago.

Sorry for your loss brother, but very happy you have a nice memento that brings you joy and hopefully some peace.

My wife doesn’t like guns at all, but she knows I do, she really doesn’t care if I purchase any, all she ever said in 30+ years of marriage is for me to just be careful with my hobby, so far I have been, she will go to range with me, sometimes I can get her to shoot, but she is very supportive with me on this
