Swapped out my Echelon grip module today

I thought it would be more appropriate to put this in a thread rather than load up the other thread with my stuff. I found the time to swap out my medium OD Green grip module with a small one in black. I have been looking everywhere for a small OD Green but I want to shoot it some time this year, so I bought a small black one which came today.

It is an easy process, however, when one has small, delicate (man, I hate that word but... 😎) hands, it's a little more. Anyway, with the help of @xdman and his YouTube video, I managed to do it in about an hour...only because my hands are NOT super strong and I struggled a bit (my little fingertips are a little sore now). When I got my Echelon, its take down lever was a bugger for me to move (I used a leather glove to aid me ;)). As I disassemble it more often, it is easier...somewhat.

I checked out YouTube, of course, and there are several videos showing the process, but xdman's video explains things so well in layman's terms that I can't imagine anyone wasting their time with any others. The process is in the photos below...

...and she's back together! It's a little harder when you have small hands, but I persevered and managed to do it myself. Now to get this baby to the range and zero in the optic! :)😎 Function checked A-okay!

How does the small grip module feel in your hands ?

Looks like a fairly straightforward operation. I had faith in ya.

The 2 tone looks kinda neat, good job!

The small size is slightly smaller in width which, for someone with bigger hands they may not notice much, but for me, I notice a difference. I haven't changed out the back strap yet. I think I may give it a shot (pun intended ;)) with the one installed, which I think is the medium one - they are not marked, as I can see. It feels better though, than the OD Green medium.

On a side note, I also have to watch that clip every time I do a frame swap. I don't know why, but I always have a hard time getting the COG out.
I had to keep going back several times because, well...I used to work on fighter aircraft, and if you have to force something...something is definitely wrong. Well, it turns out I just needed a little more umph... I'm always afraid of breaking something.

Well done, enjoy the fruits of your labor now.

You notice towards the upper left of last pic, looks like @xdman got some free advertising here…….😬😬

I just changed the back strap from medium to small. I barely notice the difference, but I have to say that I am happy that I went ahead and bought the small grip module in black. I didn't feel like waiting for OD Green to come back in stock (been watching for... a long time), and I am really liking the two tone look. I think it's gonna stay that way. 😎
