Targets

My 13 yr old grandson and I freeze water in 1 gallon milk jugs, or 2 liter soda bottles, and put them out at the 65yd line, adjacent to the swinging steel targets. We use the Saint Edge, his Ruger 10/22, and the XD Mod2 9mm to hit those. When done, empty any ice left, and toss the containers in the trash barrel. Less stuff to carry home. :)

Good old solid quality time... nothing better!

Last year I found myself wanting a target that was designed specifically for the optics and sights on my SPR and Recce rifles. It took some tweaking but they came out pretty much exactly as I wanted them.

The Semi-Auto Precision Rifle (SAPR) Zero Target is what I use with my SPR mainly but I also use it with my precision .22 at 50 yards. At 100 yards I sometimes had issues quartering a 1" square so I made the SAPR LPVO version with a larger outer square that had a dark grey band for better visibility. When it came to the back up irons, I zero at 50 yards and what I had been using left something to be desired, I wanted a target that would help me index so that I knew I was holding level. This is the one that took the most tweaking at 50 yards to find the best balance of shapes and colors for visibility but it's been working great with irons and red dot sights.

The confirmation target is a stripped down version of the above targets that I can use to make sure nothing is totally out of whack before a match.

For those of you that like to shoot precision .22LR I made these targets to practice with. I call them 50/50 targets because you'll need a box of 50 rounds and a 50 yard range.

I'm not aware of any laws on the books that specifically prohibit using the image of a politician as a target, that would go against the First Amendment. Ranges may prohibit their use but you won't get arrested for it.

I've ben having FTP issues, Failure Too Print! Especially when it comes down to kids needing too get projects finished!
Mine has been doing that too. Persistence pays off. Unplug, let it sit for 30 minutes, plug back in and fire it up.

Our range doesn't allow it, but if they are cartoonish then it's acceptable.
