Thank the Turks

Whatever one might think or feel about the Turks, either historically or at present, I must say from experience that Turkish guns aren't "crappy", they've made decent trust-worthy firearms since ww1 at least. Ask anyone who's fought them, or been allied to them for that matter. Their weapons are all over in that part of the world and they are getting better, making improvements in manufacturing, quality, and trained work-force. Hurts me (kinda) to say so, but the most recent Tisas .45 I checked out was the quality of any modern Colt 1911.. while price increases are unavoidable due to the failing US Dollar, they've been doing a good job holding the line on prices.
I'm not so whippy on their ammo, but they are up to NATO standards, sooo... Speaking of NATO, the Turks HAVE been our ally and holding the s.e. tier of Europa and access to/from the Black Sea for many years now- probably since the '20's, or '30's of the last century, at least. America has never been to war with Turkey, not even ww1. All too often their reward has been being treated like a red-headed step-child...

You need to work on some new material, Jim Bob!

As long as man has been traipsing across God’s green earth - long before there was a Russia or Merica, Turkey has been the crossroads for humankind and every major civilization has seen the value and made a home there.

Remember kids - stay in school! 🎓🚌🎓🚌
Same can be said about ancient Iran.. sooo…

Remember kids, Brits don’t know it all.. 🤪

I’m waiting for MKE to bring out it’s clone - The Yeet Kebab. 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷

I said I wouldn’t post no more minion memes….. but this one is for you my friend….couldn’t resist……😂😂😂😂

There's no reason to buy bait model Turkish guns if you don't want to. But my point was that—except for boutique guns—whatever you do want to buy is less expensive because of the Turks.

That said, my AP5 has been flawless and fun.
So what are some examples of guns that aren't boutique ?

I ask because I'm curious if any of my guns are cheaper now than they were when I bought them. The only one I can think of that may be is a PC Shield .40 and I would attribute that more to the Shield Plus, but who knows.

I think market forces are at work since the Caniks are more expensive now that they are more popular. Tisa 1911s are still dirt cheap

Actually, Tisas put the price of all their 1911s up this year. They’re still a good deal comparatively.

Yes they are, I remember when Canik first came here. they were about half of what they are now.
Well not really in my case. I bought the Canik TP9 Combat Elite (one of their top models at the time), and SAR K12 Sport in October of 2020. The Canik was $730 and the SAR $800 (this is their competition gun). You can probably find them going close to that price now.
I also have a SAR B6 (paid $330) and a Canik SFX Mete (Paid $550) which are also going for the same price thereabouts
