Coincidentally, I held some of those 500gr just yesterday afternoon. Friend of mine showed me his newly acquired Desert Eagle and along with that, his new 500 S&W. Don't know if it had any other model# other than that, but it was big, black/gray and had a bbl about as long as my truck. Well not quite that long, but a good 10" if I was guessing. What a handful that thing was. We weren't at a location to shoot, and even if we were, I'm thinking I might pass. Damn, what a gun!!!!
Those 'off the chain' things don't appeal to me very much since I prefer all my arsenal to be shooters, with only a couple collector items. Either of those two mentioned above are true novelty items that I can't really find much real life uses for.
But hey, that's just me!
