I love it! Better a "little tree dude" than a "giant hairy meat sack of pure rage and adrenaline". And I really wouldn't want to face the meat sack with a handgun. I'm just kind of Chicken that way.. I'm reminded of the song "Big Ten Inch."

Not for G-bears.
I wouldn't use any of those loads for Griz, and likely for Black bears.
Hot heavy hard-cast loads are the way to go.
200/220 gr. Underwood or Buffalo Bore, and maybe a couple others.
I mix my load-out with this 200 gr. Federal A-frame since I can also encounter cats since the hard cast will zip right thru them.
