I do understand that better knives cost more and why but I just can't spend a whole lot on a knife. Like the cost of a gun. I have spent around $100 or so on knives but a couple hundred just can't see it for me.

My EDC knife is a folder but my hunting knife is a fix blade. Had a folder close on my finger at work before cut my finger right to the bone. Can't have that in the woods hunting.

I agree. I have a fixed blade in my hunting bag as well. Ouch on the finger.

Good article, most I have spent was on a Protect Godson auto.
I carry a fixed blade opposite side of pistol and a folder in pocket as my beater.

I've had several liner locks fold on me, not like Adam, though. Bought a SOG trident with ARC lock. That thing locks like a vault. The one thing you watch for is pocket lint. The oil seems to attract it to where its needed LEAST. A little pricey, edge don't last as long as I'd like , but man is it smooth and tight for a folder.
